What is the Island Scan?

The Island Scan is a newly introduced feature and help you to catch Pokemon that you cannot find in usual gameplay, such as Pokemon which make there habitat in other region and Pokemon which have hidden ability.

How to use the Island Scan

In order to use the island scan, you have to scan 10 different QR codes and obtain 100 points (10 points per scan). Only 1 scan is allowed for 2 hours each, and the number of scan you can do can be stocked up to 10. That means you can conduct the island scan every 20 hours.

Island Scan Notes

Pokemon

  • A Pokemon that you can find using the island scan vary by the day of the week, the island, and the location.
  • Pokemon that is confirmed by the island scan is obtainable only for an hour.

QR Code

  • You can scan not only Pokemon's but also any kinds of QR codes to get points.
  • A QR code of Pokemon that has been already registered to your Pokedex can be used to get points.
  • A QR code that is scanned on a day is unavailable within the day but becomes available on the next day.
  • One scan can be done for every 2 hours. The number of available scans can be stored up to 10 times.
